Post-Baccalaureate Research Assistant

I obtained my BS in Biology and BA in Spanish from the University of Indianapolis in 2022. Currently enrolled in Brown University’s Post-Baccalaureate Research Program (PREP), I am fortunate to be a part of the O’Connor-Giles laboratory, where my passion for basic science and neuroscience has flourished. My primary focus lies in unraveling the intricate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing synaptic development and maintenance. Specifically, my research delves into the role of PDZD8 in regulating synapse formation and function, with a broader aim of understanding its implications for neurodegenerative diseases.

Beyond the lab, I find joy in spending time with my family and friends, hiking, and I try to travel to a new country every year.
