Congratulations Dr. Sam Galindo!

Sam — a former OCG lab undergraduate researcher — successfully defended her thesis. Sam completed her graduate work on somatosensory circuit development with Wes Grueber at Columbia University.

Caley and Scott present their work at SfN

Scott Gratz is presenting his work on the regulation of calcium channel levels during presynaptic homeostasis. Caley Hogan is presenting her discovery of a synaptic homolog of a yeast tRNA methyltransferase.

Welcome Matthew!

Matthew Knoeppel has joined the lab as a Research Assistant. Matthew recently graduated from Brown with Honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology where he conducted undergraduate research in the laboratory of Jonathan Kurtis.

Carney Innovation Award

Kate and collaborator Karla Kaun received a Carney Institute Innovation Award for Understanding contributions of alternative splicing to appetitive memory.

Welcome Audrey!

Audrey Medeiros is a first-year Neuroscience graduate student rotating in the lab. Audrey brings extensive experience in electron microscopy from her work with Jennifer Morgan at the Marine Biological Laboratory.
